When educators expressed a desire to expand business career curriculum to include a financial services component Rockridge Partners developed a partnership that included industry associations for curriculum and marketing, businesses across the state for internships and job opportunities, community colleges for program implementation, technology providers for web services and distance instruction, and ourselves for program management. The partnership’s unique strengths were a key to attracting over $2 million in public funding.
When a community college needed to build capacity to implement a career technical education program that reached into the regions middle and high schools Rockridge Partners identified and engaged an organization with an innovative pedagogical tool, and partnered with regional employers in the advanced manufacturing and wind energy sectors to create custom curriculum for integration in the tool’s content. Armed with this regional version of the Real Game California, RPI initiated and coordinated partnerships between the college and a majority of the area’s schools districts to offer this valuable career pathway information to hundreds of students.
